Green Lads

CELTITUDE

Gérard Viel

Electro-Trad-Irlandais

Green Lads could have been a simple traditional Irish music band... It was without counting on the intense bubbling and eternal dissatisfaction of these musicians, who very quickly threw Green Lads out of the limits of the traditionally correct. The energy sets in, the violins cross the flute and the guitar, the rhythm accelerates then becomes nostalgic for the Irish imagination to be reborn in an explosive cocktail where the dancer brings an indomitable Irish machine. The revival of Celtic music, the development of digital technologies and the influence of electro music saw the birth in France of a number of unusual musical experiments. Far from the traditional image of Irish music, the Green Lads project is part of this movement, not out of opportunism but out of artistic choice. At the origin they are all virtuosos of their instrument and of the mastery of electro ambiances: Antoine Morin on the Irish transverse flute, Marie-Amélie Vivier, Antoine Rozé on violins, Stéphane Noël on guitar and the tap dancer Woody Shiettecatte. The four musicians-performers twirl their instruments in festive atmospheres, skilfully combining this energetic and festive mix, designed to get the audience dancing and euphoric. With a repertoire of compositions, the merry team takes us on a journey into frenzied rhythms, which will surely take you to faraway lands until the end of the night! At the crossroads between the codes of Irish Celtic music and the modernity of electro rhythms, discover the album "Celtitude" by Green Lads. To remain true to tradition, the album is available in vinyl and CD versions.
